Pierre de Wet
Pierre is the Director of Art of Flooring and its sister company Art of Clean. Pierre is a master textile cleaner and has developed his skills over the last 15 years through training in the UK and America. Being a floor care and restoration specialist, Pierre spotted an opening for another part of the business supplying new flooring. Unfortunately there comes a time when a floor can’t be cleaned or restored, so a new floor must be installed. Sadly it can also be the case that this has happened because the flooring type installed was very inappropriate for its environment. This can so often have arisen from poor quality / unprofessional / under-qualified trade advise. Pierre founded Art of Flooring to offer quality customer service but most of all to educate you the customer, enabling you to select the right product for your home. Pierre enjoys seeing his colleagues grow and develop their skills. When he can, Pierre loves to travel and go scuba diving with his wife Laurence.
Laurence de Wet
Laurence is the Director of Art of Flooring and its sister company Art of Clean. Laurence looks after the administration, finances and marketing for both companies while also running Farthings Dry Cleaners next to the showroom on Milton Road. Laurence enjoys travelling, swimming and singing having also starred on French television.
Darren
Darren works in our Cambridge showroom on Milton Road and brings with him a wealth of experience from the customer service industry.
Darren joined the company in 2025 although being relatively new to the flooring trade, has spent 25 years in the home improvement industry and a total of 35 years in the retail sector in various roles.
He has a real passion for helping customers create their dream homes.
Hobbies and Interests – Darren is a season ticket holder at Leicester City with his three sons and is also a fanatical cricket fan.
Biggest Achievement – Having a wonderful family around me
