This Harston project showcases the beauty of LVT. It can work anywhere and here we see it on the stairs and landing.
It can also have any effect you desire and in this project, we see a wonderful plank wood effect.
In January, Caroline visited our showroom looking for a practical and low-maintenance alternative to the carpet on her stairs, landing and bedroom.
Her home in the Cambridgeshire village of Harston required flooring that could withstand daily wear while complementing her interior aesthetic.
During her visit, Caroline explored a variety of wood and vinyl flooring solutions. After careful consideration, she shortlisted several options that balanced durability with visual appeal.
To help visualise her choice, we brought display boards to her home and carried out a full site survey.
This allowed Caroline to see the samples in situ and helped us prepare detailed quotes for each option, making her decision process smooth and transparent.
Caroline ultimately selected Harvey Maria’s Croft Oak luxury vinyl tile in the warm and natural Rattan colour, a beautiful wood plank effect that brings both character and resilience to the space. It was the best of both worlds, combining LVT with a wood look.
A common question we're asked is whether luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) can be fitted on stairs. Caroline’s project demonstrates that not only is it possible, but it can also be a stunning design feature. We completed the installation with Stairrods Premier Bendybull trims in Antique Bronze, offering both safety and a refined finish to each step.
The result is a cohesive and stylish flooring solution that transitions seamlessly across the stairs, landing, and bedroom, combining practicality with a timeless aesthetic.
