We love to build relationships locally. Not just with our customers, but with our suppliers, local businesses, and local clubs and organisations too.
It’s a great way to build trust, build a reputation and build a stronger community, so relationship building is a very strong passion of ours.
Another passion of ours is football and we are lucky to have an established and strong relationship with the Vice Chairman of Soham Town Rangers Football Club. So when he contacted us regarding the supply and install of new flooring for the home and away changing rooms at the club, we were only too happy to help.
Currently battling away in the Isthmian League Division 1 North, Soham Town Rangers are one the highest ranked non-league teams in the area and are in divisions above local rivals Cambridge City and Ely. Vice Chairman Mark Goldsack freely admits that for the size of the club that Soham Town Ranger are, they are punching above their weight in terms of their league position but we believe there will be plenty of success in the club’s future.
The club have recently had to make a few changes due to new FA regulations. One of these regulations concerns the size of the changing rooms for both home and away teams. Alterations have had to be made at the club to accommodate these new regulations, hence the reason that Mark contacted us.
Once the building and alteration work was completed, new flooring was required to finish the job.
With any sports areas with heavy traffic, lots of boots walking through and with baths and showers close by, we need to use specific types of flooring to adhere to slip resistance and hygiene regulations. The colloquial name for this type of floor is Safety Flooring, which is a contract grade vinyl floor which can be installed with coving and capping up the wall. Generally speaking, this type of flooring, although very functional can look a bit industrial and mundane. However, with Soham Town Rangers playing in their trademark green strip, it gave us the chance to make the new flooring for the home team a little more personalised and we were able to supply a floor to match the team colours.
We thank Mark and Soham Town Rangers for the opportunity to work on their project and we look forward seeing the club progress even further in the future.
