Sub-floor preparation training course!

Last month Phil and Rob went on a two-day course at Uzin. It was all about advanced sub-floor preparation and correct adhesive selection.

They came back well-versed in understanding subfloors and have a very comprehensive, up-to-date understanding of the entire cycle of removing and fitting subfloors.

They learned an awful lot on this practical course, from removing floor coverings to identifying subfloors to getting rid of contaminations in subfloors to moisture testing. They also learned about priming methods, applying levelling compounds and using adhesives.

Although Phil and Rob aren’t the fitters, it is vitally important that they understand everything there is to understand about removing and fitting floors and subfloors.

Understanding the process of fitting floors is essential to being able to offer advice, and so we go on training days to ensure our knowledge is the best in the industry.

And, of course as well as bringing our knowledge up to date, it them us a chance to get hands on and try out some subfloor preparation themselves!
