Five easy steps to a beautiful bespoke wooden floor

Choosing a new floor is daunting. It can be hard to know where to start.

Follow our simple five-step process to create your own bespoke wooden floor to help make that process a lot more straightforward.

Choose Your Design

Select from either a plank, herringbone or chevron design to start creating your bespoke wooden floor. If you’re looking to create something really special, take a look at our new mansion weave, continuous versaille, hexagon or cube designs.

Choose Your Dimensions

All our designs are available in several dimensions, giving you the option to change the width, length or thickness to suit your style or budget.

Choose Your Grade

Our full range of designs is available in both Prime and Rustic grades.

Prime

Prime is a clear grade with a mixture of natural grain. It includes occasional knots measuring less than 10mm in diameter, and there is natural variation in colour with no heartwood.

Rustic

Rustic grade contains a mixture of grain and healthy, sound knots of up to 60mm in diameter and dead knots/holes up to 25mm firmly filled. There is a natural variation in colour and some heartwood.

Choose Your Finish

We offer two types of finishing for your floor and the decision as to which to use can often be dictated by your chosen design or the dimensions of your space.

Site-Finishing

Site-finished floors will be sanded after installation to give the finished floor a completely smooth feel and a more uniform look. Finished with Pallmann products by our highly skilled Pallmann Parkettprofi approved craftsmen, you’ll receive a two-year guarantee on the finish. There will also be a choice of different oils or lacquers to help to protect your new floor.

Pre-Finishing

Pre-finished floors are generally quicker and easier to install, and once laid can be used almost straightaway. Board will have bevelled edges and a UV-cured finish. Additionally, our pre-finished board can be brushed, tumbled, smoked, sawn or torched to create a more unique finish.

Choose Your Colour

The type of finish you have selected will ultimately lead you to your choice of colour scheme.

Site-finished floors come in a range of 24 colours created by Pallmann to give your floor the look you wish. Alternatively, why not keep it simple with a natural oil or lacquered finish? When it comes to Pre-finished floors there is almost no limit to the colour avaialble. Choose from one of our range or create your perfect floor by asking our highly experienced colour technicians to create a colour just for you using our matching service.
